Google tests google.com/goto redirect URLs on search results

Google is testing rewriting organic result links as google.com/goto passthrough URLs with encoded destinations, apparently to fight AI and SEO scrapers. The redirects can distort referrer data and confuse third-party rank tracking and analytics tools that expect direct URLs.

The bottom line: Watch organic referral and landing page reports for anomalies, and confirm your analytics setup still attributes goto redirects back to Google organic.

The bottom line: Nested aggregations like averaging per-customer sums currently require subqueries or CTEs, so this can simplify a whole class of marketing rollup queries once it hits GA.

The bottom line: Reference-clip-to-variant tools are commoditizing video iteration, so benchmark one against your current cost per refreshed video before renewing creative retainers.
