Google tests google.com/goto redirect URLs on search results
Google is testing rewriting organic result links as google.com/goto passthrough URLs with encoded destinations, apparently to fight AI and SEO scrapers. The redirects can distort referrer data and confuse third-party rank tracking and analytics tools that expect direct URLs.
The bottom line: Watch organic referral and landing page reports for anomalies, and confirm your analytics setup still attributes goto redirects back to Google organic.
